My parents watched THE KILLING avidly. In my current menage, we steer away from murder as entertainment, as it came too close for comfort to Mr. D. As for the Nordic pulp currently being toted by every second person on the Underground, I have my doubts, given who has recommended them to me as "must-reads" and would rather just read ( or re-read) Derek Raymond, who stared human badness in the teeth , felt it deeply and turned it into art. Cold hard art. I've just taken delivery of all his books I didn't read first time round and find them, if anything, better than I thought in 1996.
