Oh yes, I like those. It's amazing how much sticks, isn't it?

I forgot to say in my last that your idea of creating your own low-budget 'livres d'artiste' sounds great -- good to buck the trend and make it raw and real...

Was it Debord who had one of his books bound in sandpaper, so that it would destroy any books it was shelved alongside? Now that's raw and real!

I think the way to go next is deliberate textual rip-off (my texts, someone else's) & then work off & in to what's left.

The results so far have a 'ghost' quality which I like.

Also the sellotape strips take the letter shapes so you get a 'film' which you can then overlay elsewhere.

The 'hands on' manipulation of shreds of paper creating writing I'll admit to finding pretty exciting.

& yes, the challenge is to keep it from becoming too 'precieuse' ...
