Looks like I might have a dead iBook on my hands.
That's what comes of trying to tweak a 2002 model with an Airport Express Card.
Stage one: iBook won't start up with Airport Card installed.
Stage two: iBook starts up when Card is removed.
Stage three: iBook won't start up with or without the Card.
I suppose I should have known better.
